The Webb Memorial Library celebrates

National Library Week – April 10th through 16

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support your community’s libraries.  Amnesty all week!

Come to the Webb and sign up for a Library Card, learn about our programs, tour our beautiful building and take part in the special events each day. Bring in overdue books and no fines will be charged.

Monday  4/11/16–  Hearts at the Library.  Stop into the library during National Library Week and fill out a paper heart with your favorite library memory, or share why you love visiting the library. We’ll put them up as a collage for everyone to see.

Tuesday  4/ 12/ 16 – 3 to 5, Open House and Reception.   Local historians to relate Webb’s History, light refreshments

Wednesday, 4/13/16  – Library Themed Story hour . Ms. Laura will have a special story hour geared to National Library Week!    Also, adults can try their skills with Inside the Lines:  An Adult Coloring Event!

Thursday, 4/14/16 – Lisa London, author of the book Darker the Night a book inspired by the true story of local resident Hilde Sensale, who spent her childhood playing with the Hitler Youth Group in the hills of Western Germany, will be at the Webb from 10 to 12 to discuss her book.  Hilde will be present also!

Friday, 4/15/16 –  –  Free Books.  Every 10th Patron gets a free book!  Come in to find out if you’re a winner!
