The Gray Man is back in another nonstop international thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan novels.

Fresh off his first mission back with the CIA, Court Gentry secures what seems like a cut-and-dried contract job: A group of expats in Paris hires him to kidnap the mistress of Syrian dictator Ahmed Azzam to get intel that could destabilize Azzam’s regime.

Court delivers Bianca Medina to the rebels, but his job doesn’t end there. She soon reveals that she has given birth to a son, the only heir to Azzam’s rule–and a potent threat to the Syrian president’s powerful wife.

Now, to get Bianca’s cooperation, Court must bring her son out of Syria alive. With the clock ticking on Bianca’s life, he goes off the grid in a free-fire zone in the Middle East–and winds up in the right place at the right time to take a shot at bringing one of the most brutal dictatorships on earth to a close…

(Of course our Library is #1 – We love it and it’s just beautiful)

There are so many lovely libraries around the US! It’s hard to narrow it down! Did you visit a library that wasn’t on our list but should have been? Let us know and post some photos too! We would love to see where you have been! Every library is different! They all have their own stories to tell and not just in books! Each building tells a story! Every library has books, but not all books are the same.

We’ve given you the list of beautiful libraries around the US, now it’s up to you to find out why we chose those libraries! Go visit, refer a friend, or do some research! The mystery is up to you to solve! Enjoy!

I love when I visit a library, I find a comfy spot to nestle in for a bit and read a good book! Then when I’m ready, I check out and borrow the book. It’s nice to find a nice spot to relax, enjoy the peace and a good book! Sure, we live at the beach and can do the same thing, but there is nothing like being surrounded by history and books. We also have a garden off to side that you can enjoy and read a good book! Come visit The Webb Library, wonder around and listen! No really…listen! It’s quiet and a good book is calling your name or was that the ghost?!

NCKids New App on Overdrive

NCkids.overdrive.comth

A grant from the North Carolina state legislature gives library patrons a new, free alternative for accessing children’s electronic books and other materials. These materials are intended for children from preschool age to fourth grade.

Here’s how it works: Go to nckids.overdrive.com and log in using your Webb Library card number. You’ll then be able to browse a collection of more than 3,700 books, audiobooks and streaming videos. These electronic books can be read using an app called OverDrive that’s available for smartphones, tablets, and computers.

This new program for borrowing electronic children’s materials is in addition to the Webb Library’s access to electronic books, audiobooks and videos available for all ages.

If you have trouble accessing these materials or want further information you can stop by or telephone the Webb Library Library for assistance.
