The Webb Library is now offering mobile hotspots to our patrons that do not have internet access at home. These hotspots will provide wireless internet access within range of a cellular network tower, and may be checked out for up to a week after which point they will automatically shut off and must be returned to the library. Below are our rules and guidelines for checking out a mobile hotspot, please read them carefully and return the Hotspot Lending Agreement to the circulation desk to checkout a hotspot for your home use.
Patrons must be 16 years of age or older and must read, understand, and sign this agreement at the Circulation Desk in the presence of a staff member each time a Mobile Hotspot is checked out.
Patrons under the age of 18 MUST have a signature from a parent/guardian to check out a Mobile Hotspot.
A valid Webb Memorial Library account AND a valid photo identification must be presented at the time of checkout.
Patrons must be in good standing with the library, with a current address on file and no fines above $5.
Mobile Hotspots may be checked out for one week with no renewals.
Hotspots MUST BE RETURNED TO A STAFF MEMBER AT THE CIRCULATION DESK, and NOT placed in the indoor OR outdoor book drop.
Overdue Mobile Hotspots will be deactivated within 24 hours of the due date.
The overdue fine for the Hotspot and its components is $2.00 per day until returned.
Patrons will be charged $25 for Mobile Hotspots returned to an indoor OR outdoor book drop.
Patrons will be charged $25 for Mobile Hotspots returned to another library.
The Mobile Hotspot should be kept in a temperature controlled environemt; DO NOT leave it in your car.
The patron is responsible for costs associated with loss, theft, or damage of the Mobile Hotspot and/or peripherals.
Abuse of the Mobile Hotspot program will result in a loss of borrowing privileges.
